Young Actor Unified Auditions

The League of Cincinnati Theatres will once again offer young actors, ages 7 through 17, the opportunity to audition for local professional and semi-professional theatres.  On Sunday, July 20, 2008, LCT will hold their third annual Young Actors Unified Audition at the Playhouse in the Park’s Shelterhouse Theatre.  Representatives from local theatres will see young actors’ auditions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Actors 7 to 12 years old will have one and a half minutes to present their auditions, while actors 13 to 17 will have 2 minutes.

Each year, several Cincinnati area theatres look for younger actors to fill roles in their season.  The theatres that attend each year varies, as does their needs.  The LCT Young Actors Unified Audition allows them to see a large number of young actors at the same time.  Theatres that have participated in past auditions include Playhouse in the Park, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, New Stage Collective, The Children’s Theatre, Ovation Theatre and Falcon Theatre.
