Volunteers Needed for Acclaim

Acclaim, the all-volunteer organization to promote and celebrate excellence in Cincinnati theatre, needs your help. If you have a few hours to donate to a worthy cause, consider one of the following positions:

1. Data Entry: One or more people who can help build our database, including research to find updated addresses and contact information for past award winners. We also could use some help with data entry to bring our spreadsheets up to date (maybe 10-12 hours of work).

2. Special Events: Do you like to plan parties? Our special events include the annual Acclaim Awards in May at the Aonoff Center’s Jarson-Kaplan Theater; cabarets, theater parties and more. We welcome expertise from pre-show (invitation design) to post-performance party (food, flowers, fanfare.)

3. Archivist: We need someone to keep track of what Acclaim winners are up to – as well as any print & broadcast stories about Acclaim. Works with the PR Committee.

4. Community Outreach: Help us get Acclaim out into the community! Represent us at networking and community events.

5. Development Support: Researching foundation and corporate support; Sending thank-you letters to donors in a timely manner; Identifying appropriate grants, maintaining a schedule of grant deadlines, and writing grants, and; Involving all Executive Committee members as donors and solicitors. No experience with fundraising is required.
