CPI Needs Volunteer Actors for a Staged Reading at the Aronoff Center

SYNOPSIS A young woman overcomes feelings of abandonment and self-mutilation when she develops a friendship with her elderly landlord who is a Holocaust survivor.

CHARACTERS HOPE - Attractive African-American female (a cutter). STAGE AGE: early 20's.

ISAAC - Jewish man. Holocaust survivor. Widower, very wise fatherly type. STAGE AGE: mid 60's

JUANITA - African-American female - materialistic and self-absorbed. STAGE AGE: mid 20's

AUNT ELLA - African-American female. STAGE AGE: early 50's.

DR. MICHAEL BENTACOURDT - African-American. STAGE AGE: mid 30's.

MARCUS - Any race. STAGE AGE: mid 30's.

ANTHONY - African-American. STAGE AGE: early 50's.

NARRATOR (actor) - Any race.
